The Department of Agriculture and Rural development sponsors a range of public appointment positions within the agriculture, food, fisheries and bio-science sector, including appointments to the Agricultural Wages Board for Northern Ireland.
It is important that people from a wide range of backgrounds take up public appointments so that the Boards of public bodies reflect the rich diversity of our society and better understand the needs of the commuities they serve. Appointments are made on merit and applications from under-represented groups (women, young people, people with disabilities and people from ethnic minority backgrounds) are particularly welcome.
