In anticipation of our civil society meeting with the Chairperson of CERD and our panel discussion of CERD’s recent concluding observations, NICEM is releasing its documentation on lobbying the UN Committee. NICEM is pleased to note that many of the key points that it emphasised, such as reform of racial discrimination legislation and the need for comprehensive data collection, came through in the Committee’s concluding observations.
