UK NGOs have published their final recommendations to the UN Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
NICEM has worked with other groups to ensure that the interests of Northern Ireland’s BME communities are reflected in these recommendations, with NGOs urging the Committee to recommend that the UK improve ethnic monitoring and to ensure that its concluding observations address areas of policy for which the devolved administration is responsible.
NICEM Executive Director Patrick Yu was present in Brussels on the 4th of August to address the Committee on issues affecting Northern Ireland.
